National HIV Testing Day – June 27, 2023
National HIV Testing Day is recognized on June 27 and this year’s theme is “HIV Testing is Self-care.” Getting tested for HIV and knowing your status can help people stay healthy. Unfortunately, everyone is at risk of contracting HIV. Fortunately, a little knowledge goes a long way in helping you protect yourself and those you love. Many IHS, tribal, and urban Indian health centers and clinics offer free, fast, and confidential testing. Text ‘NATIVE TEST’ to 55251. If you live in Alaska, visit iknowmine.org to get a free self-test mailed to you.
