Through collaboration and active participation in the development of policy and national nursing standards of care, we support the health of American Indian/Alaska Native people. In support of the Indian Health Service mission, the California Area provides assistance and training to CA area IHS facilities, tribal, and urban Indian ambulatory clinics and community health programs in adapting to changes in legislation, regulation and health care standards.
