Activity: Architectural

Keyword: Conference Room, Large-All Hands

Background:
There is no place within or near the facility where an all hands or large meeting can take place. This is especially important at many isolated IHS Hospitals.

Lessons Learned:
The staff feel that this is an important item for emergency and special announcements and for overall moral for awards, technical presentations and staff meetings. It appears to be a much needed requirement for isolated hospitals.

Recommended Action:
Require that provisions be made for large meeting areas at all hospitals. This may include combination training/conference/cafeteria areas that can utilize moveable partitions or other innovative concepts.

Location:
Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital - Sacaton, AZ

Program: OEHE/DFPC

Date: 08/31/2001
