Background:
Partnership Initiatives can be valuable when planning and designing a large complex Health Care Facility. It should be set up as an efficient organization, with authority for each stakeholder to make decisions and resolve disagreements within the agreed upon rules.

Lessons Learned:
The basic rules and guidelines agreed upon for the Partnership Initiative must be followed throughout the project for it to be successful. Professional facilitators should be utilized to adhere to the Partnership rules.

Recommended Action:
Utilize the Partnership concept for major projects always adhering to these established ground rules.
