The project provides for the design and construction of 16 new staff quarters for the Ft. Belknap Indian Community. Five quarters will be provided at Hayes, Montana, and 11 quarters, including six transient quarters, will be provided at Ft. Belknap. A direct federal design contract was completed in August 2007. Construction initiated in the spring of 2008 under a Title I construction contract with the Ft. Belknap Indian Community. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2010. The total project cost is between $7 to $10 million.
