This new health center will provide enough space and staff to expand the level of health care services of the Ft. Yuma Service Area. In addition to the Indian Health Service programs, several tribally operated health programs will be housed within the new facility. This integration will improve the collaboration and partnership of the Quechan Tribe, the Cocopah Tribe, and Indian Health Service. The new facility will provide:
- Ambulatory Services include primary care, dental care, eye care, ENT, and podiatry. Diagnostic services including laboratory and radiology;
- Behavioral Health Services include mental health, social service, and alcohol & substance abuse;
- Preventative Care Services include public health nursing, public health nutrition, environmental health, contract health representatives (tribal), diabetes program (tribal), women, children, & infant nutrition program (tribal), wellness center, telehealth, and traditional healing (tribal);
- Administrative Services including administration, business office, health information management, information management, and
- Support and Facility Services include employee facilities, education & group consultation, public facilities, property & supply, housekeeping & linen, facility management, and clinical engineering.
