The new Kayenta Health Center (KHC) will be a new freestanding medical facility located at Kayenta (Navajo County), Arizona, on a 40.3 hectares site just southeast of the intersection of US Highway 160 and Arizona State Highway 163.
This alternative rural hospital will serve an area that includes portions of south central Utah and north central Arizona. The facility will provide an emergency and urgent care unit with the support of Tribal emergency medical services, a short stay nursing care unit and birthing center. Additionally, the KHC will provide ambulatory (outpatient) surgery and comprehensive care, computerized axial tomography, primary care, dental care, eye care, physical therapy, ancillary services, preventive community health services, behavioral health services, service unit administration and other support services.
