The Omaha-Winnebago Drug Dependency Unit (DDU) was constructed adjacent to the Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CHCF), in Winnebago, Nebraska. This is a two-phase project consisting of the CHCF and the DDU. The CHCF (Phase I) was completed in April of 2005. The new DDU (Phase II) is approximately 1,800 square meters and includes patient living and treatment areas. The design and construction were completed under a P.L. 93-638 Title I contract with the Winnebago Tribe which was awarded in December of 2005. The DDU was completed in August of 2009 at a total project cost of $5.3 million.
