How will EDR benefit me and what are the implications of implementing EDR?

The EDR will transform your practice into a paperless system over time. The incorporation of digital radiography and imaging will allow you to develop a comprehensive, integrated patient record. This will lead to increased productivity, improved efficiency, and decreased medical errors. You will have clinical examination and treatment planning data in addition to treatment data. Epidemiologic data will be available immediately upon query of your local data base. Interfaces with RPMS will allow patient registration, billing, appointment scheduling, and clinical notes to be coordinated with the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
