EDR FAQ

What do I need to implement the EDR in terms of

a. Personnel – Dedication and commitment to successfully implement the EDR is necessary from the entire Dental Staff in addition to designated IT Staff. No additional FTEs should be required solely for the EDR.

b. Minimum Technical Requirements – Operatory Recommendations Document

c. Training Time – Different positions [e.g., dentist, dental assistant, receptionist] will require different training periods. Overall you should expect 5 days of training the week prior to “go live”, 2 days during the “go live” period, and an additional 2 days 2 weeks following “go live”. There will also be ongoing, supplemental training at several different locations each year.
