Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
1. Recognize the signs and symptoms of the various types of odontogenic and oro-facial infections.
2. Appropriately triage, refer, and palliatively treat with antibiotics and analgesics the patient presenting with an odontogenic and/or oro-facial infection.
3. Describe bacterial flora commonly found in oro-facial infections and appropriate antimicrobial therapy.

Gregory Thompson — 1980 graduate UMKC, OKU honor fraternity. USAF 1980-1985, USAF GPR 1980-1981. Private practice 1985-2008 with an emphasis on dental anxiety. UMKC School of Dentistry AEGD program 2002-2008, part-time clinical assistant professor. Married with 3 grown children. Enjoys fishing and railfanning. Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
