Summary:

The purpose of this one hour webinar course is to give IHS dental staff a review of nitrous oxide use in the denetal setting. The course will include history, mechanism of action, protocols, and an update on recent developments with delivery systems.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Administer nitrous oxide and monitor vital signs.
2. Identify and manage nitrous oxide emergencies.
3. Explain the mechanism of action and identify signs of efficacy.

Speaker / Presenter:

Joseph Churchill — Dr. Churchill is a graduate of Utica College, and attended dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo New York. After completing his residency in 2009, he moved to Nebraska where he worked for the Winnebago and Ponca Tribes before serving as dental director for the Omaha Tribe from 2012 to 2018. Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
