Summary:

The purpose of this four session course is to give IHS Dental Hygienists the background and resources needed to provide clinical and community dental hygiene services in an IHS setting.

Part 4. This session covers procedures for advance community dental hygiene services that may be offered at in Native American communities. There will be an emphasis on program design and evaluation.



Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe the process of designing and evaluating a community based dental program.
2. Use IHS reports to monitor clinical dental hygiene services.
3. Describe risk based recall.

Part 4.
1.   Write a SMART objective
2.   Explain the difference between process and outcome evaluation.
3.   Explain how to identify evidence-based activities.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
