Summary:

Dr. Zimmer's presentation will be 4 hours in length and will cover
Glass ionomer Sealants [evidence basis and outcome to expect]
Interim Therapeutic Restorations [indications, evidence, 4 sources of failure]
Treatment planning for mixed dentition [slides of radiographs; If I was your staff doc what would you recommend?]

Dr. Taylor's endo course will be 8 hours in length and cover online resources and tools that support general dentists in the field. Particular emphasis will be placed on utilizing existing opportunities to take advantage of IHS specific online resources to improve and standardize endodontic care. Benefits and cost savings will be presented to support development of additional online tools and courses.

Review of endodontic diagnosis
Discussion of rotary vs. hand file cleaning and shaping
Pros and cons of warm vertical and cold lateral obturation
Proper radiographic technique for endodontics
Emergency treatment of traumatic dental injuries
Overview of regenerative endodontics
Benefits and cost savings of online CDE
Mobile support opportunities

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

Dr. Zimmer's session:
1. List indications, expectations and technique for G I Sealants.
2. Recognize the basis of the four sources for failure of ITR.
3. Participate and support the rationale for treatment planning in the mixed dentition.

Dr. Taylor's session:
1. Make the decision of pulpal and periapical diagnosis.
2. Decide the best approach to RCT treatment.
3. Select appropriate obturations technique.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
