Summary:

This session is offered to dentists who have completed the Concepts courses. The session covers the importance of building and maintaining an effective and vibrant network of contacts. The session instructs participants about utilizing those contacts to garner support for your program. The content is based on numerous research sources and publications including the “The Perfect Swarm: Science of Complexity” by Len Fisher, and “The Social Animal” by David Brooks. Exercises during the session will be included.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize the importance of a rich and workplace network, and the potential benefits it can have for a dental program.
2. Explain the activities and patience managers must have to develop and maintain a productive network.
3. Identify individuals who work in clinics, hospitals or Area Office settings that would be beneficial to add to a network.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
