Summary:

The Anchorage Dental Study Group will meet 1 hour every 2 months [9 hours/year]. The group will consist of dentists and dental hygienists. Continuing dental education will be provided by the study group participants in one of the following formats:
1. Journal article presentations
2. Clinical case presentations
3. Dental seminars
4. Guest speaker presentations
The purpose of this lecture is to provide dentists and hygienists with knowledge about the pharmacodynamics of pediatric sedations to enhance their skills in case selection and clinical management of the pediatric patient.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify when a patient is a candidate for pediatric sedation.
2. List the advantages and disadvantages of sedation.
3. Discuss the drugs utilized during a pediatric dental sedation.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
