2014 Catalog: All Courses

The Anchorage Dental Study Group will meet 1 hour every 2 months [9 hours/year]. The group will consist of dentists and dental hygienists. Continuing dental education will be provided by the study group participants in one of the following formats:
1. Journal article presentations
2. Clinical case presentations
3. Dental seminars
4. Guest speaker presentations
The purpose of this lecture is to provide dentists and hygienists with overview of the research performed by the Lutheran Medical Center Pediatric Dental Residents at the Alaska Native Medical Center. The research objectives, methodology and results of each resident will be discussed.

Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to:
1. Identify the outcomes of primary molars not crowned during full mouth dental rehab.
2. Discuss what drug combination was most effective for each age group during pediatric sedations.
3. Conclude how well informed parents really are in regards to the treatment options available.

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
