Summary:

This course covers treatment assumptions made with conventional caries management. It explains the risks of restorative treatment and the impact of examiner variation on patient care. Supplemental reading is suggested at the end of the course.

Learning Objectives:

At the completion of this course, you will be able to:
1. List the treatment perspectives of conventional caries management.
2. Describe what could lead to variability in diagnosis and treatment planning.
3. Identify the risks of restorative intervention.
4. Contrast caries treatment choices between the conventional and medical models.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
