Summary:

The purpose of this one-hour course is to provide staff in the Bemidji IHS Area with an update of their Area’s performance in the IHS Early Childhood Caries Collaborative and to help prepare them for the fifth and final year of this initiative.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. Define the overall goal and objectives of the IHS Early Childhood Caries Collaborative.
2. Explain the importance of early access to dental care as it relates to the prevalence of ECC in your Area.
3. Describe at least one recognized best practice in improving access to care, dental sealants, fluoride applications, and interim therapeutic restorations in 0-5 year-old AI/AN children.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
