The course is designed to introduce basic principles of risk management by discussing high-risk patients, high-risk situations, and high-risk clinical procedures.

Speaker / Presenter:

PATRICK BLAHUT — Patrick Blahut, DDS, MPH, is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health and Deputy Director of the IHS Division of Oral Health. He brings to IHS over 30 years of experience in public health and teaching in the U.S., Canada, and New Zealand. He has held positions of leadership with the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (Editorial Board of the Journal of Dental Public Health) and the Canadian Dental Association (Fluoridation Officer). He currently serves as chairman of the "research and data acquisition" workgroup of the IHS / ADA collaborative access to care project. Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
