Summary:

This one day course covers the following topics:
Software Overview
Care of the DEXIS equipment
Positioning the DEXIS equipment
Exposure [Adjusting the x-ray source]

This is a supplemental course offered to sites that have the Dentrix system in place.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
1. List the basic functions of the DEXIS Software.
2. Discuss the use of all the Image Tool Icons.
3. Apply the principles from the DEXIS Quick Reference Guide.
4. Cite Digital X-ray image storage and capture techniques.
5. Demonstrate changes in x-ray exposure to capture digital images.
6. Explain proper positioning of the DEXIS sensor.
7. Properly care for and maintain the DEXIS sensor and holders.

Facility staff must have completed training on Dentrix.

Tuition Policy:

Tuition must be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start date of any course. Request for refunds must be received in writing at least two weeks before the course begins. For each refund request, there will be an administrative charge of $100. No refunds will be made to registrants who fail to attend a course. If IHS CDE program cancels a course, then 100% of the tuition will be refunded.
