BASIC COURSE FOR SAFETY OFFICERS

Description: This four and one-half day introductory course is designed for new safety officers primarily in health facilities. Through a series of lectures and hands-on exercises, students will learn the required components of a comprehensive healthcare Occupational Safety and Health program described in Chapter 9 of the Indian Health Manual. Participants attending the full course will also receive OSHA certification as “successfully completing an Occupational Safety and Health Training Course in General Industry Safety and Health".
