Description: This 5-day course is intended for boiler operators/technicians as a refresher on the following topics: boiler application and theory, operator responsiblities, safety, boiler operations, flame controls, and applicable codes.
Learning Outcomes: 1. Explain when boilers are used and the theory behind boiler operation 2. Identify boiler design and operation characteristics 3. List boiler burners, fuel, and function 4. Identify boiler auxiliary and safety components 5. List operator responsiblities 6. Explain flame safeguard controls and detection 7. Explain boiler operations and water treatment 8. Describe troubleshooting for different systems 9. List boiler codes 10. Recognize boiler room safety issues.
Prerequisites: Intended for licensed boiler operators seeking to renew their credentials.
