Description: Living in rural South Dakota can make recycling difficult. The presenter [Ms. Katana Jackson] completed a one year pilot study to see how much paper could be recycled monthly at the IHS-Kyle Health Center, which is a field clinic on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. “Did you knows” from epa.gov ----In 2011 nearly 46 million tons of paper and paperboard was recycled ---- US uses about 70 million tons of paper and paperboard a year --- Products that can be made from recycled paper include masking tape, paper money, dust masks, hospital gowns, coffee filters, lamp shades, egg cartons.
