Dental appointments can be made at 8 a.m. the first work day of the week. The number of appointments available to be scheduled is limited so we can assure that the patients obtaining appointments can have their basic treatment needs completed
in a timely manner (approx. 2 months or less). Appointments are made, when available, no more than three (3) weeks in advance. Only two (2) appointments can be made per each request.
Individuals who have a dental problem or concern and are unsuccessful obtaining a dental exam appointment can be seen during the emergent/urgent care clinic to have their problem or concern evaluated. The emergent/urgent care clinic is designed
to manage emergent/urgent needs only - not routine care. The emergent/urgent care clinic is 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Patients are advised to arrive by 3:00 p.m. to allow adequate time for treatment.
Individuals who are unsuccessful in obtaining a dental exam may request that their name be placed on the cancellation list. The list will be collected Monday through Friday, and a new one will be started each week. Patients can contact
the dental clinic to verify their their status on the list.
Once a patient obtains a dental exam appointment, it is important for them to keep that appointment. If they break or cancel that appointment, they will have to attempt to access the system again.
Patients are also welcome to be present at the dental clinic to wait for broken or canceled appointments. Please feel free to call prior to coming to the clinic to check if other patients are waiting.
After completing an exam appointment, patients will be scheduled regular appointments until basic treatment needs are completed.
There will be a limited number of appointments set aside for patients ages 0-18.
Headstart children can be screened Monday through Friday from 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please call ahead when possible so that the child's wait will be minimal.
Those patients needing emergency treatment after hours, on weekends, or on holidays should contact the Sioux San Emergency Room.
