HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPUTY SECRETARY CLAUDE A. ALLEN TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR HEALTH FUNDING FOR ARIZONA NATIVE AMERICANS

Claude Allen & Don Davis awarding Hualapai tribal grant
October 18, 2004- U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Deputy Secretary Claude A. Allen was in Phoenix Monday to announce grant funding totalling over $3 million dollars for several Native American tribes and health organizations throughout Arizona. The Deputy Secretary was joined by representatives from Colorado River Indian Tribes, Gila River Indian Community, Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation, Navajo Area Indian Health Service, Indian Health Service Whiteriver Service Unit, Tohono O’Odham Nation, and Hualapai Tribe.[photos]
