The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho

The Kootenai bands currently located in northern Idaho historically occupied territories along the Kootenai River, in parts of Montana, Idaho and British Columbia. The Tribe’s lifestyle was dependent on hunting, fishing, and gathering of roots and berries.

Tribal Health and Prevention Programs

  • The Kootenai Tribal Clinic, providing contracted health care services
  • Health care program consist of limited direct health care services
  • Community health services include; CHR, mental health, Alcohol, Dental and Well-Child programs
