Shoalwater Bay Tribe

Tokeland, Washington

The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe is located in the coastal Pacific County of Washington state. They were formally organized in 1971. The Center for Women’s Health Research (University of Washington) and the CDC have reported on an extremely high pregnancy miscarriage rate in the Shoalwater Bay Community, which continues to be a critical concern.

Tribal operations include:

  • Tribal Youth Program
  • Washington Food Bank Program
  • Pacific County Injury Prevention Network Member
