- If you pick up your medications on the FIRST day they are ready, you will NOT need to request your chart for pharmacy (we have done that for you).
- The pharmacy closes at 5:00 p.m., we would appreciate you picking up your medications between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. if at all possible to avoid longer waiting times that occur at the end of the day.
- If you wait and pick up your medications 2-5 working days after they are ready then you MUST REQUEST YOUR CHART to be sent back to the pharmacy by 4:00 p.m.
- All refills must be picked up within 5 working days or they will be returned to stock!
- If you have any questions, please call at 918-458-3105 and speak to your friendly pharmacist.
- PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST "ALL MEDS" WHEN ASKING FOR REFILLS. IDENTIFY EACH MEDICATION NEEDED REFILLED. "I NEED ALL MY MEDICATIONS." REQUESTS WILL NOT BE FILLED.
Understanding Your Medicines
Did you know that taking your medications properly is one of the best ways to avoid future health care costs? Each year, thousands of people end up in the hospital, fail to get better, and spend more money than they have too simply because they do not take their medication properly.
Pharmacists can educate you about your medications, both prescription and nonprescription. The American Pharmaceutical Association, the national professional society of pharmacists, says that every person should be able to answer the following questions before taking any new medication.
- What is the name of the medication and what is it supposed to do?
- When and how do I take it?
- How long should I take it?
- Does this medication contain anything that can cause an allergic reaction?
- Should I avoid alcohol, any other medicines, foods, and/or activities?
- Should I expect any side effects?
- What if I forget to take my medication?
- Is it safe to become pregnant or to breast-feed while taking this medication?
- Is there a generic version of the medication that my doctor has prescribed?
