Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation

We are the descendants of twelve bands of Indians that were settled on the Colville Reservation. These bands are the Colville, Nespelem, San Poil, Lakes, Palus, Wenatchi (Wenatchee), Chelan, Entiat, Methow, Okanogan, Moses-Columbia and the Nez Perce of Chief Joseph’s Band. Most of the bands spoke a Salish or Sahaptin language, including nsalxcln, nhamcin, and nimipu. Our 1.4 million acre Reservation is located in the northeastern part of Washington, bordered on the west by the Okanogan River and on the south and east by the Columbia River.
