INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE CIRCULAR NO. 2013-07

Effective Date:  December 6, 2013

ERRATA NOTICE TO RESCIND THE INDIAN HEALTH SERVICE CIRCULAR
NO. 2004-05, "CHARTER - URBAN INDIAN HEALTH PROGRAM WORKGROUP"

This Errata Notice rescinds the Indian Health Service (IHS) Circular No. 2004-05, "Charter - Urban Indian Health Program Workgroup."

The Urban Indian Health Program (UIHP) Workgroup was formed to develop an appeal to a low score achieved on a 2003 Office of Management and Budget (OMB) review.  The UIHP had scored 50 (designated minimally adequate).

The UIHP Workgroup was also charged to clarify the purpose of the UIHP, address the deficiencies identified by the OMB Program Assessment Rating Tool (PART) review for the fiscal year 2005 budget assessment, and make recommendations to restructure the current program to reduce duplication with other Federal programs.

The workgroup met and resubmitted the PART to the OMB and the score was changed to 69 (adequate).  Subsequently, the UIHP was deemed adequate and functional; the Director, IHS, was assured that all required steps were taken and that the UIHP provides the highest quality and accessible healthcare to urban American Indians and Alaska Natives.  The workgroup accomplished its mission and is no longer functioning.

Please discard your binder copies and any file copies of the circular at your earliest convenience.
