AUTHORITY DELEGATED

Pursuant to the authority delegated to the Director, Indian Health Service (IHS), as specified by the Director of Management, Public Health Service on October 13, 1987, I hereby delegate to the officials listed below the authority to sign applications to purchase tax-free and specially denatured alcohol and appoint accredited officials to order controlled drugs from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Department of Justice.

AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE

Authority to sign applications to purchase tax-free and specially denatured alcohol and appoint accredited officials to order controlled drugs may be redelegated only to responsible officials whose functions require the use of the referenced alcohol and controlled drugs.

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS

This authority shall be exercised in accordance with Subpart PHS 380.3 of the Public Health Service Acquisition Regulation, Appendix A to Chapter 3, of Title 48 Code of Federal Regulations.

SUPERSESSION

This delegation supersedes the previous delegation of authority located in the Indian Health Manual, Administrative Delegation #3, dated July 30, 1992.

EFFECTIVE DATE

This delegation is effective on the date of signature.
