Mileage Rates and Exceptions

Table 1.  Mileage Rates for Privately Owned Vehicles (POV)

Type of POV Mileage Rate
Automobile 36 cents per mile
Motorcyle 27.5 cents per mile
Airplane 95.5 cents per mile

Table 2.  Exceptions to the POV Mileage Rates

If an employee uses a POV instead of the Government Funished Vehicle... The employee is reimbursed...
but a Government Furnished Vehicle is available, 18 cents per mile
and a Government Furnished vehicle was assigned to the employee, 9.5 cents per mile
and the employee was directed to use a Government Furnished Vehicle 9.5 cents per mile
