Transmittal Notice 83-05

BACKGROUND:

This transmittal revises the Indian Health Manual to indicate that incident reports are to be filed as administrative reports and not medical records, and deletes Section l-6.5.  The reference to Medical Audits in Section l-6.5 has been made obsolete by Indian Health Circular No. 81-9, Compliance Standards with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals and Health Care Financing Administration.

Part 1, Chapter 6, Section 4, pages 3 & 4.

Parts l-6.4, and 1-6.5 pages 3 & 4, TN No. 70.2.

Remove the superseded pages and replace with the enclosed.  Pen and ink change in Table of Contents.  Change PHS -2010 to HSA-123.
