Transmittal Notice 01-02

BACKGROUND

This is to transmit a copy of the Indian Health Manual (IHM), Part 7, Chapter 1, "Excepted Service Examining Plan," which establishes the Indian Health Service (IHS) policy for employment under Schedule A authority 213.3116(b)(8).  It supplements the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 5, Section 302, Department of Health and Human Services Personnel Instruction 302-1, and Part 7, Chapter 2, "Merit Promotion Plan," IHM.

The revised IHM 7-1, including the Table of Contents.
