Transmittal Notice 04-01

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to forward a copy of the revised Indian Health Service (IHS), Personnel No. 57, “Delegation of Authority (DOA) To Establish and Accept Volunteer Services.”  We will reissue this DOA to include the supersedure of the previous DOA of the same title, dated May 13,2003, because the previous DOA did not include the supersedure statement.  This DOA delegates the responsibility and authority to establish and accept volunteer services for use in the operation of a health care facility or the provision of health care.

MATERIAL TRANSMITTED:

Personnel No. 57, “DOA To Establish and Accept Volunteer Services”


MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

This delegation supersedes the Administrative DOA No. 32, “Establish Volunteer Service Programs,” dated November 23, 1988, and Personnel DOA No. 57, dated May 13,2003.


MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Remove and discard the May 13,2003, copy of Personnel DOA No. 57 from your manual system binder. Insert the attached copy of the revised Personnel DOA No. 57 (TN 2004-01) in its place.

Log and file this TN in sequential order.
