BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to forward a copy of the revised Delegation of Authority (DOA), Commissioned Corps #5, "Public Health Service (PHS) Commissioned Corps Officers Recognition Program."  This DOA is being reissued to reflect the changes resulting from the 2004 Indian Health Service Headquarters reorganization.

MANUAL MAINTENANCE:

Remove and discard the current copies of DOA, Commissioned Corps #5 "PHS Commissioned Corps Officers Recognition Program," dated May 5, 1989, from your manual systems binders.  Insert the attached copy of the revised DOA, Commissioned Corps #5 "PHS Commissioned Corps Officer Recognition Program," TN 2007-06, in its place.

Log and file this TN in sequential order.
