Transmittal Notice 08-01

BACKGROUND:

The purpose of this Transmittal Notice (TN) is to rescind Delegation of Authority (DOA), Administrative #14, “Approve Grant Funding Periods of 18 Months or More.”

This DOA is being rescinded because the authority is now reflected in the Department of Health and Human Services Awarding Agency Grants Administration Manual, Chapter 2.04.104B(5)(b)(iii), which states that “the Chief Grants Management Officer is the approving official for any single non-competing extension exceeding 12 months, because these actions are single-case deviations.”

MATERIAL SUPERSEDED:

DOA Administrative #14, "Approve Grant Funding Periods of 18 Months or More," dated November 27, 1990.

Remove and discard the current copies of DOA, Administrative #14, "Approve Grant Funding Periods of 18 Months or More," dated November 27, 1990, from your manual system binder.

Log and file this TN is sequential order.
