| Function: |

(1) Develops the I H S program to recruit, select,
assign, and retain health care professionals in accordance with
policies and guidance provided by the Division of Personnel
Management; (2) assesses I H S professional staffing needs; (3)
provides research and analysis functions for Chief Medical Officers,
Clinical Directors and senior clinicals; (4) manages and supports
health professions education programs and activities; and (5)
develop and administer Indian Health Professions programs
