IHS Division of Oral Health
Career Paths: Tribal
Some dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants find working directly for a Tribe the most rewarding career path. The Indian Health Service (IHS) supports Tribal hiring initiatives by including information on the Web site and in recruitment materials. Applications for direct hire positions are forwarded directly to the appropriate Tribe. These applications are completely separate from the Civil Service and U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) Federal systems. Compensation, benefits and advancement vary by Tribe.

To be eligible to work directly for a Tribe, you must be licensed in the state to which you apply in most instances. Click here to view IHS Dental Vacancies or click here to find out How to Apply.

Non-US Citizens May Apply to the Choctaw Management/Services Enterprise (CM/SE) Phone: 1-877-267-3728 or for more information go to www.cmse.net.
