Background

HIV infection in pregnancy is a growing problem in our setting, yet no individual service unit has had a lot of experience dealing with this situation. The following is hopefully the most current (January 2002) short summary of the evidence as reflected in the C.D.C. and A.C.O.G. recommendations.

Q. What are the Indian Health procedures for HIV screening in pregnancy?

A. Our goal is to maximize our care by using ‘opt out’ HIV screening (WORD 91k)
