Strategic plan available - HEALTHY WEIGHT FOR LIFE: a Comprehensive Strategy across the Lifespan of American Indians and Alaska Natives (PDF - 4.6MB)

  • The 48-page action plan and vision frame the steps for individuals, communities and tribes, as we address healthy weight for all ages. The built environment and social messaging, data and personal messages for nutrition and physical activity, including the science and what works are presented. Over thirty resources, an index, stories and photos from the field interweave the 3 strategies and series of recommendations. Low resolution PDF online.   • Just released! The AAP/American College of Emergency Physicians/Emergency Nurses Association joint policy statement Guidelines for Care of Children in the Emergency Department(PDF - 131k) Endorsed by 22 other national organizations this statement offers recommendations for essential equipment, medications, personnel training, and key policies necessary for optimal pediatric emergency care.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the Access to Trauma Centers in the United States fact sheet and interactive mapping tool. This new tool, created in partnership with the American Trauma Society and the University of Pennsylvania, shows the location of all hospitals and trauma centers (Levels I-IV) across the country.
