The Arizona Telemedicine Program has received federal funding to equip and staff the headquarters of a new Institute for Advanced Telemedicine and Telehealth (THealth). To be located on the Phoenix campus of the University of Arizona Medical School, THealth will develop new health care delivery mechanisms to address health professional shortages. It will also renovate “facilities to house next generation health care education programs, as recently recommended by the National Institute of Medicine”.
THealth, Pathways into Health, and the IHS Telehealth Program have developed a white paper outlining specific points of telehealth collaboration between the programs.
