Core Concepts® is a three-day, live training session. The course is an interactive, real world overview of diabetes care and education that challenges participants to put art and science into practice. Participants receive 22.0 CE credits.

Important: Participants are expected to make their own travel arrangements. The Division of Diabetes will not cover travel expenses. The deadline to register is two (2) weeks prior to the course start date. Be sure to receive your supervisor’s approval prior to registering for the Core Concepts Course, in order to avoid Division of Diabetes being charged a cancellation fee.

Eligibility Criteria: AADE’s Core Concepts is designed for nurses, dietitians, pharmacists and other health care professionals who desire an update or in-depth review of the fundamental concepts underlying diabetes care and self-management education (DSME). In addition, you must be a current IHS, Tribal, and Urban Indian health program employee.

Note: This Partnership does not include the online Core Concepts course – only the in-person training sessions.

Non-Attendance Penalty: Any participant who fails to attend a pre-paid course without cancelling their registration is not eligible to receive funding for future Partnership courses.
