The Command Ball Cap (CBC) is not authorized to wear in IHS
The National Uniform Authority (NUA) is the sole uniform prescribing authority until the NUA has delegated a Local Uniform Authority (LUA). In regards to the Command Ball Cap (CBC), unless an officer is on a deployment, the prescribed cover is the 8-point BDU cover with the large shiny metal rank insignia for the BDUs. The CBC may be worn with working khaki or working uniforms only if on deployment and prescribed or authorized by the NUA. In short the CBC is not authorized to wear in Indian Health Service (IHS) until further notice.
