RRM Module: Interpreters
Overview:
The RRM Interpreters staffing module estimates the requirements for interpreters to provide translation services for patients within the clinical setting and the home setting. The workload parameters that are the key variables in the staffing estimation are Number of Nursing Stations, Primary Care Provider Visits, and Service Population.
Services Description:
Interpreter services include:
Interpretation services for all IHS facilities, and
Interpreter services to accompany CHRs and PHNs for home health visits, as needed.
Staffing Criteria:
0.40 FTE Interpreter staff for every 3,200 PCPVs of population needing an interpreter, plus 0.40 FTEs Interpreter staff for every 3,000 Service Population needing an interpreter.
