RRM Module: Laundry

Overview
The RRM Laundry staffing module estimates the requirements for laundry staff to process and repair soiled linens. The workload parameter that is the key variable in the staffing estimation is Average Daily Patient Load.

This module pertains only to the services offered at IHS hospitals. Laundry services are typically contracted.

Services Description:
Laundry services include:

  • Processing of soiled linen,
  • Sort, inspect and fold processed linen, and
  • Repair linen, as needed.

    Staffing Criteria:
    Fixed Laundry staff of 1.00 FTE (for each hospital), plus 1.00 FTEs Laundry staff for every 24 ADPL.
