RRM Category: GENERAL SERVICES AND PLANT OPERATIONS RRM Module: Security Overview The RRM security staffing module estimates the requirements for security supervisors and staff to provide physical security services to the facility, grounds and staff quarters. The workload parameters that are the key variables in the staffing estimation are Square meters of facility space, patients and staff using the facility, parking lot size, staff quarters and hours of operation. Services Description: The security staff: Protect the clinic including electronics, locks, and closed circuit surveillance Provide prevention education and intervention with workplace violence Provide assistance to patients that pose a danger to themselves or staff to ensure patient and staff protection Ensure accessibility and function ability of fire equipment and conduct fire drills Staffing Criteria: Facilities not requiring 24/7 coverage 3.0 FTEs for every 9290 sm of building space. Full time (24/7) Facility 3.0 FTEs for every 9290 sm of building space, plus 4 FTEs for every 1000 (OPVx.002 + .75xdaytime employees + bed days/275 + dental minutesx.00004), plus 1.0 FTE for every 500 parking spots, plus 1.0 FTE for every 100 quarters, plus 4.0 FTE for every 150 ER visits. Deviations for each type facility 1.0 FTE for locations with high crime rates. This must be justified with data. 4.2 FTEs for every 10 monthly serious incidents. These must be documented 1.0 FTE for every 40 hours/week of service request. These must be documented.
