National Council Of
Urban Indian Health
(NCUIH)

Founded in 1998, NCUIH is the only membership organization of Urban Indian Health Programs, providing advocacy, expanding resources, and creating a "national voice" for Native American/Alaska natives living off reservation.

Approximately 60% of Native American/Alaska Natives live off reservations in the United States, approximately 53% of those in urban centers of cities. NCUIH, created by and for Urban Native people, addresses the changing needs, health and general welfare of Indians through advocacy and education.
