H1N1 Flu Information

Get the bug out!IHS Headquarters Emergency Services Staff and other community programs staff such as CHRs, PHNs, Head Start, HP/DP, Health Educators, EMS, and Environmental Health among others are partnering to find useful resources for our community based programs.  If your CHR Program has developed or modified community or patient education materials regarding H1N1 or other flu types to meet the need of your communities, would you please voluntarily send them to dione.harjo@ihs.gov  Our intent is to share these materials with CHR Programs across the country via email and by placing them as resources on this national CHR website.

At IHS Headquarters we regard CHRs as health care workers with direct patient contact, much the same as PHNs.  The following links have information relevant to community programs as well as guidelines for personal protection. Please take time to review and educate yourself.
